God sets a table in the middle of my war. In the presence of my enemies, He says, “Watch the giants fall!”
This is our power in a King who has gone before, a Lord who has risen, and a Savior who has afforded us that same extraordinary working power.
When you only see in part, prophesy His promise and know this: He has never left you even in your mess, whether or not the mess was your fault. He is always there, constantly moving towards you – even in the stillness.
His arms are open. Run into them and be prepared to be shrouded in an overwhelming sensation of love. Love is too emotional to express in words.
Stay at the table.
This salvation we have is a process. We grow daily in it, like learning an instrument or a second or third language. By faith, we live in it as we study, develop, and apply what we know. It’s a process like that instrument you are learning or those new language skills you have acquired.
So, don’t beat yourself up when you fall. Don’t get bent when you can’t see or don’t feel Him there, for He is there! Just because you can’t see or think doesn’t make it so. Feelings are not to be relied upon! They are fleeting and often based on emotion. Remember that the enemy is crafty. However, our Savior, Lord, and King… He is the One to whom every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that He IS.
Stay at the table. It was prepared for you.
Remember that perseverance also works in you, building character so that you finish the race. And about the race… it is filled with obstacles. Sometimes, there are setbacks and mistakes. Yet we push on forward. We don’t look back. And we certainly don’t stay down when we fall. Why? Endurance builds strength. Endurance gives us the proper perspective. Through His strength, we say, “Praise will be my song.”
He has set a table in the middle of your war, in the presence of your enemies, and says, “Watch the giants fall!”
